Granger is 2-8 against Bremond since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Lions will head out to challenge the Tigers at 12:00 p.m. Granger's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Bremond's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Granger is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 18 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Thorndale on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The shutout was out of character for the Lions seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Arianna Herrera spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on eight hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Granger saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abi Crouch, who went 1-for-4 with one double.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Bremond and Rosebud-Lott had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Tigers never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Charlye Martin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. Martin was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, Addyson Young was incredible, firing off three home runs and seven RBI while going 3-for-4. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mia Soto, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Bremond lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Granger's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8-1. As for Bremond, their record is now 7-4.
Granger's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's match. The Lions have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Bremond, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Granger continue to outrun the ball?
Granger suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Bremond in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
