The Suffolk Christian Academy Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They breezed by New Life Academy at home to the tune of 45-14. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Suffolk Christian Academy has managed all season.
Suffolk Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Remi Thiemens, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Thiemens pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emery Garza, who scored six points along with five assists and three steals.
Suffolk Christian Academy's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-7. As for New Life Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Suffolk Christian Academy will face off against Bethel Assembly Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bethel Assembly Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday. New Life Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Victory Christian at 4:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
