Even though the Calvary Christian Spartans scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, the Riverside Pirates still came out on top. Riverside enjoyed a cozy 69-55 win over Calvary Christian.
When it comes to explaining why Calvary Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Wyatt Schlatter. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zeeke Wylie, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds.
Riverside's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Calvary Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Riverside will head out on the road to face off against Botkins at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Calvary Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Waynesfield-Goshen at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
