Northside and Hidden Valley are an even 5-5 against one another  since March of 2015, but likely not for long.  On the hitting side, Northside got a  massive  performance out of  Camden Spangler, who  scored four  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.  Evan Bruce was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
 Hidden Valley has not done well against Christiansburg recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. Hidden Valley walked away with  a   7-2  victory over Christiansburg.
  Braxton Nichols was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ryan Walding, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Northside now  has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Hidden Valley,  the  win also got them back to even at 1-1.
 Northside came out on top in a nail-biter against Hidden Valley  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023, sneaking past  6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northside since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
