Softball Recap: Hahnville Has No Trouble Against Central Lafourche

While Hahnville put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Central Lafourche. The Hahnville Tigers were the clear victor by a 14-0 margin over the Central Lafourche Trojans. Considering the Tigers have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hahnville got a great performance from Emersen Tregre as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Addison Walton was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brazzi Jacob, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Hahnville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Hahnville's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-3. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.67 runs. As for Central Lafourche, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Hahnville Tigers challenge Destrehan Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Destrehan is on a four-game streak of home wins, Hahnville a six-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. As for Central Lafourche, they will square off against Thibodaux at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
