The Jeffers Jets are on the road again on Friday and plays the Dollar Bay Bays at 7:15 p.m. on February 2nd. One thing working in Jeffers' favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
In what's become a running theme this season, Jeffers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They claimed a resounding 89-37 win over Watersmeet on the road. Jeffers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, Dollar Bay was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past the Hawks 69-23 at home. That 46 point margin sets a new team best for Dollar Bay this season.
Liam Tourtillott was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Dollar Bay's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Vondoloski, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Jeffers' win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points per game. As for Dollar Bay, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Jeffers against the Bays in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 as the squad secured a 78-42 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Tourtillott, who scored 28 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Jeffers still be able to contain Tourtillott? There's only one way to find out.
