If the Raymond/South Bend Ravens were riding high off their 80-18 takedown of the North Beach Hyaks two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Raymond/South Bend's tough 70-48 defeat to Rainier on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Raymond/South Bend can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Rainier is ranked 20th).
Raymond/South Bend lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kassie Koski, who scored seven points along with three steals. Koski is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Avalyn Stigall, who scored 12 points.
Raymond/South Bend's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Rainier, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-2.
Raymond/South Bend does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rainier also has no future games currently scheduled.
