Volleyball Recap: KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate Comes Up Short

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Greater Lowell Tech Gryphons, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-9, 25-23.

Xavier Pena paced KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate's offense, picking up nine kills. Pena got some help from Christopher Pena and his 11 assists. Aiman Nafi controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Greater Lowell Tech, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Lynn Vo-Tech on the 14th. As for Greater Lowell Tech, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Nashoba Valley Tech on the 16th.
