Both Mahar Regional (3-5) and Monument Mountain/Mt. Everett (4-4) have made it this far into the playoffs, but they square off this Friday to determine who is worthy to move on. Mahar Regional has a win under its belt but has never won back-to-back; of course, Monument Mountain/Mt. Everett will be hoping to keep it that way.

Mahar Regional had two big standouts, as senior Sam Paul tossed for three touchdowns and rushed for two more, while junior Jon Gariepy ran for 150 yards and also punched in one touchdown. This marked the 3rd consecutive game in which Gariepy had 100+ rushing yards. Senior Hugo Frost was in the mix too, providing Mahar Regional with two touchdowns. As for Monument Mountain/Mt. Everett, it simply didn't have it last week, losing 66 - 12 to Easthampton/Hampshire.
The last time they met, Monument Mountain/Mt. Everett won 46 - 34. This defeat knocked Mahar Regional out of the playoffs, so expect it to come at Monument Mountain/Mt. Everett with a vengeful fire.
