The Mundy's Mill Tigers were the 41-40 winner over the Jonesboro Cardinals when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Mundy's Mill took a 39-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jonesboro on Friday.
Jonesboro found their leader in underclassman Alona Dukes, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Mundy's Mill's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Jonesboro, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-7.
Mundy's Mill will take on Morrow at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Mikayla Dunston and Joshlynn Mcclarin. As for Jonesboro, they will head out on the road to square off against Alcovy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alcovy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
