After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Federal Way, the Mt. Rainier Rams were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against Decatur by a score of 62-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mt. Rainier also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Zach Luz, who scored 38 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Rylan Keane was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals and two blocks.
Decatur lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dominique Degrate, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahrion Modica, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Rainier will stay at home for another game and welcome Tahoma at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. Tahoma knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 contests -- so hopefully Mt. Rainier likes a good challenge. As for Decatur, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Federal Way at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Federal Way is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
