The Rio Grande City Rattlers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against West Oso by a score of 55-47.
West Oso's loss came despite strong showings from Devin Martinez and Jordan Hernandez. Martinez scored 13 points along with three steals, while Hernandez scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him. Amaree Sanders was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Rio Grande City now has a winning record of 10-9. As for West Oso, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rio Grande City will take on Zapata at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Zapata is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. West Oso and Tuloso-Midway will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
