Basketball Recap: Glades Central Extends Winning Streak to Four

Glades Central entered their tilt with Atlantic on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Atlantic Eagles 68-45. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Eagles are ranked 312th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Atlantic lost, don't look at James Tillman. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points and four steals. Tillman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabari Henry, who earned ten points.

Glades Central is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Atlantic, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4.

Glades Central will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Jupiter at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. One thing working in Glades Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. As for Atlantic, they will head out to take on Dillard at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. Atlantic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 72.4 points per game this season.
