Madison Christian can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest. They blew past Delaware Christian 50-23 on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Madison Christian who now have three in a row.
It was another big night for Kiley Wray, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 assists. Wray is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Lily Scholz was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Shekinah Christian managed to keep up with the Unicorns until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Shekinah Christian's tough 54-34 defeat to the Unicorns might stick with them for a while. Shekinah Christian's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Noe Wanty, who scored three points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alinea Slabaugh, who scored eight points along with three blocks.
Madison Christian's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Shekinah Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Madison Christian have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Shekinah Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.1 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
