The Napa Grizzlies will head out on the road to face off against the Petaluma Trojans at 12:45 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Napa got themselves on the board against American Canyon, but American Canyon never followed suit. They secured a 6-0 W over the Wolves.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Petaluma over Justin-Siena in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Petaluma blew Justin-Siena out of the water with a 57-0 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Petaluma had established a 50 point advantage.
Aiden Wirtz had a dynamite game for Petaluma, rushing for 112 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 57 yards and three touchdowns on only five passes. James Mullan was in the mix too, providing Petaluma with two touchdowns.
Napa's win on Friday bumped their record up to 3-4-1. Petaluma is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
