Basketball Recap: Forsyth Home Educators' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Fans were treated to a battle of the Hawks on Friday. Forsyth Home Educators enjoyed a cozy 67-53 victory over Cumberland Christian Home Educators. The win was all the more spectacular given Forsyth Home Educators' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 550th in North Carolina, while Cumberland Christian Home Educators is ranked 239th in Kentucky).

Despite the loss, Cumberland Christian Home Educators saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aiden Drew almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Hughes, who posted six points in addition to six assists and five boards.

With the victory, Forsyth Home Educators broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-20. As for Cumberland Christian Home Educators, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 24-19.

As of now, neither Forsyth Home Educators nor Cumberland Christian Home Educators have any future games scheduled.
