After flying high against the Raymond Central Mustangs on Friday, the Lakeview Vikings came back down to earth. Lakeview fell just short of the Dukes by a score of 67-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (62), Lakeview still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Leyton Snodgrass, who almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine rebounds for York. Snodgrass is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Huston, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 assists.
Lakeview has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for York, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeview is on the road again on Friday and plays the Monarchs at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. As for York, they will take on the Bluejays on Friday.
