Basketball Recap: Bronson Extends Winning Streak to Two

Concord came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Bronson, but Kamron Brackett wouldn't allow it. The Bronson Vikings snuck past the Concord Yellowjackets with a 48-42 victory on Thursday thanks in part to Brackett, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten boards. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Boston Bucklin was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in January.

Despite the loss, Concord still got an impressive performance from Connor Stevens, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds. Stevens is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 12 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Darrell Dean Jr., who posted six points in addition to six boards and three steals.

The win made it two in a row for Bronson and bumps their season record up to 3-2. As for Concord, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

Bronson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 70-13 victory against Constantine on the 16th. As for Concord, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-45 win against Hillsdale Academy on the 17th.
