Centreville and Oakton are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Centreville Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Oakton Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Centreville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Centreville pushed their score all the way to 65 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chantilly.
Meanwhile, Oakton ended up a good deal behind James Madison on Tuesday and lost 57-39.
Centreville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Oakton, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Centreville was able to grind out a solid win over Oakton when the teams last played back in January, winning 54-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Centreville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
