Trego is 9-1 against Plainville since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Trego Golden Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Plainville Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. Trego is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trego to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reece Smith, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Smith has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Makenna Flax was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Plainville, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They were beaten by Ellsworth 57-23 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Plainville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 331st, while Ellsworth is ranked 159th).
Trego is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Plainville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
Everything came up roses for Trego against Plainville in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 67-16 win. With Trego ahead 43-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.
