Science Leadership Academy will head out to face off against the Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush KNIGHTS at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Science Leadership Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Science Leadership Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against George Washington on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Science Leadership Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marisa Phan, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Sofiya Kieselowsky also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush). They were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over MAST Charter II on Wednesday. The KNIGHTS haven't had any issues with the Voyagers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Rachel Vincent made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Vincent was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jozalyn Rejniak, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. Another player making a difference was Analyse Lopez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Science Leadership Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Science Leadership Academy took their victory against Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Science Leadership Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
