The Berkeley Prep Buccaneers and the Tampa Catholic Crusaders squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers had to settle for second. They fell to the Crusaders 70-66. It was the first time this season that Berkeley Prep let down their fans at home.
Isaiah Campbell-Finch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tampa Catholic, shooting 5-for-9 from deep and almost dropping a double-double on 47 points and nine rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Campbell-Finch has scored at least a third of Tampa Catholic's points. Another player making a difference was Colby Cannizzaro, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Berkeley Prep's defeat ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 20-6. As for Tampa Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-14.
Berkeley Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tampa Catholic also has no future games currently scheduled.
