With a playoff game on the line, the Malvern Leopards rose to the challenge on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lonoke 48-14 at home. Considering Malvern has won five games by more than 29 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jalen Dupree continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 154 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for four yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Dupree has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sedrick ?bishop? allen, who threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes.
Malvern has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 8-3 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.0 points per game. As for Lonoke, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Malvern will challenge Harding Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harding Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 479 points over their last 11 matches. Lonoke will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Heber Springs at 7:00 a.m. on December 10th.
