The East Central Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Sapulpa Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: East Central has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Sapulpa will arrive with three straight wins.
Last Friday, East Central took a serious blow against Glenpool, falling 50-15.
East Central's defeat came about despite a quality game from Jordan Wilson, who picked up 81 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Sapulpa didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against McAlester on Friday, but they still walked away with a 27-22 win.
East Central has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Sapulpa, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
