Baseball Game Preview: White Cloud Indians vs. Kent City Eagles

For the second straight game, White Cloud will face off against Kent City. The Indians will take on the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, White Cloud turned things around against Kent City on Monday. They blew past the Eagles 9-3.

Ayden Hensley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. White Cloud is 5-2 when Hensley allows two or fewer earned runs, but 1-12 otherwise.

At the plate, Brady Strait was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Edgar Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Kent City's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8. As for White Cloud, their victory bumped their record up to 6-14.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. White Cloud has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Kent City struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
