The Mifflinburg Wildcats fell victim to the Lewisburg Green Dragons''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Green Dragons, falling 35-0. Mifflinburg was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lewisburg apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Lewisburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeremiah Davis led the charge by rushing for 99 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Davis hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek Asche, who threw for 149 yards and two touchdowns.
Mifflinburg's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lewisburg, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mifflinburg will take on Warrior Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lewisburg, they will play host again and welcome Montoursville, where Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on November 4th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Montoursville is ranked 237th, while Lewisburg is ranked 249th).
