Murphysboro kept a clean sheet against Gibault Catholic on Saturday. They blew past the Hawks 7-0. Murphysboro might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by four goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Gibault Catholic from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Will Stuemke led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The victory was the third in a row for Murphysboro, bringing their record up to 8-3-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those three matches. As for Gibault Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
