It was a good run, but the Westerville South Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 71-54 bruising from Unioto.
Westerville South's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ariyana Cradle, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cirrye White, who scored nine points.
Westerville South's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for Unioto, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Westerville South will take on Dublin Scioto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Unioto, they will head out on the road to challenge Olentangy at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. Olentangy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Unioto in Ohio (Olentangy is ranked fourth, while Unioto is ranked 50th).
