With a playoff game on the line, the Niceville Eagles rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Dolphins by a score of 50-41. The win was nothing new for Niceville as they're now sitting on 13 straight.
Leading Niceville to victory were Carson Fayard and Anna Kimball. Fayard scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while Kimball scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Kimball hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasha Doctor-roman, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Several Dolphins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maleeya Brammer, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Lila Jacobs was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds.
Niceville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. As for Gulf Breeze, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-8.
Niceville will face off against Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Niceville is coming into the game with eight straight victories on the road, so Forest is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Gulf Breeze's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pace at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. Hopefully Gulf Breeze focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
