Somerset is 0-10 against Devine since October of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Warhorses / Arabians at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Somerset took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Pleasanton by a score of 3-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.
Somerset had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-22, 25-15, 25-21.

Somerset's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Camila Mendez, who had 26 digs and five assists, and Alanah Casey, who had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Casey has posted over her last five matchups. Jasira Jones also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Somerset was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Devine earned a 3-1 win over Pleasanton on Tuesday.
Devine walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 23-25, 25-22, 25-22.
Somerset better focus on containing Cami Carroll and Greeley Malone as the pair were huge in Devine's win. Carroll had 20 digs and six assists, while Malone had 16 digs and two assists. Carroll is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Devine's win bumped their record up to 21-17. As for Somerset, their victory bumped their record up to 13-19.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Somerset has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Devine struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
