Softball Recap: Central's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Central made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Juanita Sanchez Complex, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Knights were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Cavaliers on Friday. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered an 18-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yazlenne Corona, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Corona has posted since back in April of 2024.

Central's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Central will host Central Falls at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Juanita Sanchez Complex will be paying especially close attention to the Knights' match: after the Knights faces off against Classical, they'll take on Juanita Sanchez Complex again at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
