Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer took a 33-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of Weeping Water. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer in their matchups with Weeping Water: they've now lost four in a row.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's loss came despite strong showings from Elie Bstandig and Laramie Glathar. Bstandig scored 9 points along with 15 rebounds, while Glathar scored 4 points along with 12 rebounds.
Weeping Water's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kalison Miller led the charge by scoring 15 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Miller has scored at least 25% of Weeping Water's points. Brinkley Mcadams was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Weeping Water, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer will take on Lewiston at TBD on Tuesday. Hopefully Lewiston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Thursday. As for Weeping Water, they will be playing at home against Conestoga at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
