Tongue River is 9-1 against Wright since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Tongue River Eagles on the road again and play against the Wright Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on January 20th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Tongue River is ranked 15th, while Wright is ranked 13th).
Last Saturday, Tongue River was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-46 to Big Horn. Tongue River has not had much luck with Big Horn recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, even though Pine Bluffs scored an imposing 79 points two weeks ago, Wright still came out on top. Wright took their contest against Pine Bluffs 86-79.
Tongue River's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Wright, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.
Tongue River was able to grind out a solid victory over Wright in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 74-65. Does Tongue River have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wright turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
