Milton-Union was led to victory by Jenna Brumbaugh and Ava Berberich. Brumbaugh scored 17 points along with nine rebounds, while Berberich scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Berberich has scored at least 25% of Milton-Union's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shannon Brumbaugh, who scored four points along with five steals.
Franklin Monroe's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.5 points per game. As for Milton-Union, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Franklin Monroe won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fairlawn at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. Fairlawn has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
