Sadie Dasher looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Braelyn Daniels, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Corrine Collins, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.
Ridge Point always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Bend Austin only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Atascocita got themselves on the board against Goose Creek Memorial on Tuesday, but Goose Creek Memorial never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 9-0 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
The result came thanks to Allison Burkhalter's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up nine Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024.
On the hitting side, Morgan Marks was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhilynn McCoy, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Atascocita pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.9 runs over those games. As for Ridge Point, their record is now 14-2.
Ridge Point suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Atascocita in their previous matchup back in February of 2015. Can Ridge Point avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
