Dixie is 10-0 against the Hornets since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Dixie Hornets will be playing at home against the South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Dixie came up short against the Blue Flashes and fell 62-53.
Jaren Byers put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 20 points along with five assists and two steals. Staylon Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind, who are still winless after their eighth match. They fell 27-17 to Thornwell on Thursday.
Dixie's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5. As for South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Dixie against the Hornets in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 65-16 win. Does Dixie have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
