The Western Alamance Warriors entered their tilt with the Williams Bulldogs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Western Alamance took down Williams 57-41 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Western Alamance also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Western Alamance's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tina Bowers, who scored 15 points along with nine assists and seven rebounds. Bowers is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Sykes, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, Williams still got an impressive performance from Jordyn Taylor, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Taylor also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Alaiyah Mitchell, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Williams struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Western Alamance pulled down 22 offensive rebounds.
Western Alamance's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Williams, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Alamance will square off against South Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. South Central will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. As for Williams, they will head out on the road to take on Falls Lake at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. Falls Lake is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
