Everglades hasn't had much luck against West Broward recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Everglades made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Miramar, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Everglades put the hurt on Miramar with a sharp 29-8 win last Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

Prenia Bautista was a standout: she scored six runs and stole five bases while going 4-for-6. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Another player making a difference was Vi Quain, who scored five runs and stole four bases while going 4-for-6.
Everglades was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .447. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, West Broward got themselves on the board against Cypress Bay last Thursday, but Cypress Bay never followed suit. They blew past the Lightning 7-0.
The result came thanks to Cheyanne Chaffin's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Natalia Solorzano, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Victoria Carmona was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Everglades now has a winning record of 5-4. As for West Broward, their record is now 7-3.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Everglades has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. However, it's not like West Broward struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.3 hits.
