It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Heritage Academy Heroes had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They breezed by Mission Heights Prep on the road to the tune of 56-0. The victory was just business as usual for Heritage Academy, who after nine games remain undefeated this season.
Mattson Young got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 55 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Ryan Nelson was another key contributor, rushing for 98 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Heritage Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Mission Heights Prep, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.
Heritage Academy will be staying on the road on November 18th to face off against Imagine Prep at 3:00 p.m. on November 18th. Imagine Prep is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Mission Heights Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
