Baseball Recap: St. Brendan Starts Season with Victory at Home

St. Brendan gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They never let the Coral Park Rams onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Sabres in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won three in a row.

Ulpiano Puentes looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Kevin Leon was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Mathew Garcia was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Coral Park's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, St. Brendan is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will take on Miami Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Coral Park, they will venture away from home to challenge Palmer Trinity at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
