Baseball Recap: Roxana Picks Up Third Consecutive Win + How To Watch

Roxana had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They never let the Wesclin Warriors get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The Shells not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15th (when they won 12-2).

Dalton Carriker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Max Autery and Nick Miles did most of the damage at the plate: Autery went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Miles went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Miles has posted since back in April.

Roxana hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wesclin struck out 11 times.

Roxana's record is now 18-6. As for Wesclin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roxana will head out to face off against Metro-East Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wesclin, they will venture away from home to challenge Nashville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
