The Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers''s four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 34-22 victory over Lakeview. The win was just what Jonesboro-Hodge needed coming off of a 38-6 defeat in their prior match.
Lakeview's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Kaleb Collins, who rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Collins hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Omarion Pierr, who rushed for 161 yards.
Jonesboro-Hodge's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Lakeview, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6.
Jonesboro-Hodge will head out on the road to face off against Winnfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Winnfield is ranked 203rd, while Jonesboro-Hodge is ranked 216th). As for Lakeview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Many at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Many's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
