Grandview is on a 16-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Mullen is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Grandview Wolves will host the Mullen Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grandview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season.
Grandview is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Smoky Hill: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Grandview blew Smoky Hill out of the water with a 79-12 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-6.

Sienna Betts was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double with 28 points, 17 boards, and nine assists. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 41 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Smith, who went 8-for-10 on her way to 21 points along with six boards and four steals.
Grandview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 7.1 offensive rebounds per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 12.8.
Meanwhile, Mullen earned a 54-47 victory over Arapahoe on Friday.
Grandview better focus on containing Makenzie Jones and Tatum Jones as the pair were huge in Mullen's win. Makenzie went 6-for-13 to rack up 19 points and eight rebounds, while Tatum went 6-for-11 en route to 16 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Makenzie has scored at least a third of Mullen's points. Another player making a difference was Chloe Pelster, who posted eight points.
Grandview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Mullen, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Grandview has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Mullen struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Grandview strolled past Mullen in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 51-34. Does Grandview have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mullen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
