Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Haverford). They never let the Lower Merion Aces get on the board and left with a 21-0 win on Thursday. Considering the Fords have won eight matches by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Ali Daly was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Jones, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Haverford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lower Merion only managed four hits.
The victory (which was Haverford's fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Lower Merion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11-1.
