Every two years, the Colorado High School Activities Association adjusts classification status and league alignments to reflect current enrollment numbers for its member the schools. The current two-year cycle ends in May, with the next classifications/leagues set to take effect in the fall of 20110.
During the reclassification/league process, new football alignments always garner the most interest and debate. The proposed new football classifications and leagues have been released by the CHSAA’s football committee.
The final draft proposal is now open for debate in the high school community. A final recommendation will be made to the CHSAA Board of Control for its meeting in January.
