The Orem Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cedar Valley Aviators at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Orem sitting on six straight victories and Cedar Valley on four.
Orem posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They put the hurt on Springville with a sharp 69-44 win. With Orem ahead 40-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orem to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chance Dastrup, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jax Allen, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Salem Hills scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, Cedar Valley still came out on top. Cedar Valley walked away with a 69-58 victory over Salem Hills.
Cedar Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Owen Bawden led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Bawden hasn't dropped below two blocks for seven straight games. Obed Borruel was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Orem's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. As for Cedar Valley, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the pair are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Orem hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 62.3 points per game. However, it's not like Cedar Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 59.3 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
