The Woonsocket Villa Novans came into Thursday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 56-51 W over East Greenwich on Thursday. The win was just what Woonsocket needed coming off of a 51-30 loss in their prior matchup.
Aaron Kelly went supernova for Woonsocket, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Kelly hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Angel Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Woonsocket's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13. As for East Greenwich, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woonsocket will take on the Purples at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Greenwich, they will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
