North Decatur has gone a perfect 10-0 against Waldron recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Chargers will take on the Mohawks at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Decatur has six straight wins, Waldron has 13 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
North Decatur is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Morristown as they made off with a 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.
Brooklyn White was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. White was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, North Decatur got a big performance out of Madison Rohls, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kendall Hostkoetter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
North Decatur kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Morristown only managed three.
Meanwhile, Waldron came up short against Edinburgh on Thursday, falling 17-3.
North Decatur's record is now 17-10. As for Waldron, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.
Everything went North Decatur's way against Waldron when the teams last played on May 8th, as North Decatur made off with a 15-0 win. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mohawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
