Permian lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Montwood, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Permian Panthers were the clear victor by a 9-2 margin over the Montwood Rams on Friday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Permian's win bumped their record up to 12-0-1. As for Montwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
