North Georgia Christian Academy is 10-0 against Eastgate Life Academy since November of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The North Georgia Christian Academy Knights will head out to square off against Eastgate Life Academy at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for North Georgia Christian Academy and three for Eastgate Life Academy.
Last Tuesday, North Georgia Christian Academy was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 78-77 to Crossroads Christian Academy.

Despite the loss, North Georgia Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Luke Beaver dropped a triple-double on 46 points, 12 rebounds, and ten assists. Beaver's evening made it 32 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zed Blackwell, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 11 points.
Even though they lost, North Georgia Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Meanwhile, Eastgate Life Academy played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 65-38 loss at the hands of Philadelphia Christian School. Eastgate Life Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-16.
North Georgia Christian Academy will have to keep a close watch on Grayson Mayfield and Nate Harbins, a pair of players who had a big impact on Eastgate Life Academy's prior game. Mayfield dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards, while Harbins posted 16 points and eight rebounds. That was a full 42.1% of Eastgate Life Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points.
Eastgate Life Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for North Georgia Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. North Georgia Christian Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 59.2 points per game. However, it's not like Eastgate Life Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 59.1 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
North Georgia Christian Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Eastgate Life Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, sneaking past 62-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Georgia Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
